What is the difference between Call Forwarding and Call Transfer??

Call Forwarding

--> Call forwarding allows you to send all your incoming calls on your IP Phone to other IP Phone.

--> Call forwarded to another number without pressing any button on the IP Phone.

--> Call can be forwarded to another number in the following cases

1) Busy --> If the user on IP Phone is talking to other IP Phone.

2) Noan --> If the user does not respond to the call for a specified time duration ( No Answer).

3) All --> All the calls are forwarded to another number as soon as the IP Phone receives the call.

4) Night Service --> All the calls are automatically forwarded during night service hours.




Call Transfer

--> Call transfer allows you to forward the call from one IP phone to another IP Phone after receiving it.

--> This feature is usually activated with the help of a button followed by dialing an extensión.

--> Call Transfer of two types, it can be either blind or consultative.

--> Blind transfer is also called unsupervised transfer and sometimes full blind transfer.

--> In this method, a call transfer is done without checking the transfer-to party is available or not.

--> Whereas In consultative transfer, the call is transferred to another phone by ringing or speaking to the user before connecting the call.
