--> Aruba Instant Access Points does not require any external wireless controller to manage the WIFI network.
--> Any Aruba Instant Access Point can dynamically take up the role of the virtual controller without impacting the network.
--> Virtual controller contains all the settings similar to the physical wireless controller to provide centralized functionality to manage the WIFI network.
--> Aruba Instant access points uses Master Election Protocol to dynamically elect an Instant Access Point as Virtual Controller.
--> If the elected Virtual controller goes down then the new virtual controller is selected based on the Master Election Protocol.
--> Once an Instant Access Point becomes Virtual Controller then it sends three ARP messages with static IP Address and MAC address to update the network.
--> Having Virtual controller in the network provides following benefits,
i) Scalability
ii) No Hardware Controller is required
iii) Redundancy
iv) No License
v) Less Cost
